Dr. Junker became Board Certified in Sports Medicine in 1999 after fulfilling rigorous requirements and passing a complex examination. While at Malcolm Grow Medical Center, he was also a preceptor (An expert or specialist, such as a physician, who gives practical experience and training to a student, especially of medicine.) in a weekly Sports Medicine clinic where he supervised medical students and residents during their family practice, sports medicine, and flight medicine rotations.
